Meeting RoomJoin us for a hands-on micro:bit coding series designed specifically for homeschool families! This is a multi-week program with limited space. Registration is required for this event.
Through interactive lessons, participants will learn to create animations, games, and more while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Recommended for ages 8+
- No prior experience is needed
- All materials are provided (laptop, micro:bit)
- We will use Microsoft’s free MakeCode web based coding platform
- A Microsoft or Google account is needed to save work (but not required for our sessions)
- Activities will satisfy many goals of NJSLS 8.1 Computer Science, Algorithms & Programming
When registering: To ensure all participants have access to both materials and support, please be sure to include each active participant when registering.
Attendance: For best results, participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions. Participants who attend all three sessions will have a chance to win their own micro:bit!
