Meeting RoomWe're kicking off Summer Reading with a dino packed adventure! Meet and interact with Terry the T-Rex and his other realistic animatronic dinosaur and puppet friends, hear a story, and dig for fossils
This program includes interaction with the dinosaurs and photo ops, a fossil dig, fossil table display, and a story reading. There will be lots of fun crafts, a scavenger hunt, henna tattoos, and don't forget to cool off with a Rita's Italian Ice!
Dinosaurs you'll meet include:
Terry the T-Rex: is a 8-foot tall and 13-foot-long T-rex that will wow everyone with his realistic features and movements. He loves to interact with kids and even lets them feed, walk, pet and take photos with him!
Ruby the Baby Raptor: Our adorable baby raptor puppet is perfect for getting down to the kids’ level and letting them pet, feed and play with her. She’s very friendly and curious, and likes to make cute noises.
Pickles the Parasaurolophus: Pickles is our friendly neighborhood herbivore, with his unique crest and big bulgy eyes, the kids will love feeding him lettuce and learning more about this fascinating animal!
Kota the Triceratops: Our three sit-on triceratopses are great for letting the kids bounce on, cuddle and feed with their delicious leaves. They’re very gentle and lovable, and they make cute sounds including a burp if you feed it too much!
This program is most appropriate for preschool-elementary school age and families. Please register just the children in your group who will be attending.
Made possible, in part, with support from the Richard D Gardner Friends and Southwest Friends of the Warren County Library.
