Meeting RoomNew Jersey has a rich fossil record that spans almost 500 million years, from the Cambrian Period all the way up until the last Ice Age!
Dr. Dana Ehret, Curator of Natural History for the New Jersey State Museum, will teach us about some of the history of paleontology, the plants and animals that have lived in what is now New Jersey and some of the amazing discoveries that have been made in our state. From Cope and Marsh's 'Bone Wars' to Hadrosaurus foulkii, the first dinosaur skeleton put on display, New Jersey has played an important role in the study of paleontology. Get an upclose look at fossils and casts as well! For all ages 7-adult. Please register everyone in your group attending.
Southwest Branch
The Southwest Branch is located in Stewartsville off of Rte. 519. The branch features a public meeting room, teen space, children’s area, Maker Space, and public computers.
